My Baby shower went great last weekend! I had a lot of friends and family show up. It made me very happy! I got many necessities but I still have so much more things to buy! I can never have enough things for baby. I need to start stock piling on wipes for sure! My sister was in town for the event and that absolutely made my day. I love having her in town. I never got a picture with her at the baby shower, but she did pick out my outfit…including the bracelets and the earrings. This baby shower also showed me that some people are not who they say they are. I definitely learned an insane life lesson from it. I guess baby DOES make a huge difference in life! Thankfully, I did not let it ruin my day, or any days following. I just let it go, and now thinking back, I should have let go sooner.
I’m THIRTY-THREE weeks now!! I really can’t believe the end is near. FINALLY. I have been absolutely miserable during this pregnancy and I really can’t wait to meet my bundle of joy. In preparation, I have put in my notice at work, and my last day will be September 6. I won’t be able to afford to return to that particular job after Maxine is born…they barely pay above minimum wage. Childcare would be out of the question, even at that daycare center. That would put me out of work at thirty-five weeks and in that time, I will be working very hard at getting ahead in my online classes. Yep, you read that right, I’m taking classes this semester! Maxine won’t stop me from continuing this education!! I am very excited about my classes. I am taking three. Two Communications courses and an English course. I really enjoy Old Dominion University so far.
